Ester Poly (CH) / Rosa Rost (MUC)

ESTER POLY

The duo: Ester Poly are Martina Berther (electric bass, vocals, Zurich) and Béatrice Graf (drums, vocals, Geneva). The band's music moves between psychedelic rock, punk and new wave, and its lyrics are mostly political. Since forming in 2013, the duo has played more than 160 concerts at home and abroad (including France, Germany, Czechia, Benin, Russia, Italy and Australia). From big club and festival stages (including PROGR Bern, Bogen F Zurich, B-Sides Festival Lucerne, Stadtsommer Zurich, Bad Bonn Kilbi, Jazzfestival Willisau) to small DIY gigs, solidarity parties and protest marches (Women's Strike 2019), they've done it all.

In 2017 their debut album ‘Pique Dame’ came out on Ikarus Records (Zurich), Urgence Disc Records (Geneva) and the queer-feminist label Unrecords (Vienna).

ROSA ROST

Rosa Rost is a self-proclaimed “gazepunk” newcomer band from Munich. Between dark, torn sounds and wide walls of noise unfolds a sound that invites you to sink in and dance in equal measure. The songs are angry, ironic or deadly serious – aimed at social conditions that annoy, constrain or simply can't be tolerated anymore. Expect a raw mix of post-punk, shoegaze and wave.
